I guess a name is important. In past days they had debtors prison.

 

DEBTORS PRISON IS DEFINED AS FOLLOWS

A Pledgehouse , A prison for the confinement of people who owe money.

 

Today, the original form of debtor’s prison in a modern world no longer exists as a place. (I’m not saying you can’t go to prison if you owe money but it’s not as likely as it was) the problem is it can and does exist in a persons mind. Debt is a prison in itself. It stifles creativity, dampens the essence of life itself and by its very nature can restrict options that may effect not only ourselves but the lives of the closest ones around us. It can if left unchecked destroy the love of life and is probably the chief cause of self destruction today.

 

So this homepage is not about cheating others out of money but really to share the experience and help each to learn what to do when in debt.

 

Please note the following

 

• I’m based in the United Kingdom so this is primarily but not exclusively about the UK debt system
• I am neither a Qualified Lawyer nor an accountant so I can’t give you professional advice
• I have been in severe debt situations in my life on a few occasions and managed to escape bankrupts and pay back debts I never thought I could do
• I’m doing this because I want to share my experiences and hopefully provide some avenues that others who share this journey can have a way of escape both from a life of debt and indeed find that elusive elixir of life “success”
• I am making no profit from this whatsoever in financial terms I just want to give something back so that others can learn from my folly
• I believe that the actual system of Credit and debt is flawed and I hope we can gather together and be a force for change
• I want to warn you about the Pitfalls when you do get into debt. How you can protect yourself and how to avoid getting yourself into more debt.
